Why you'll love the Marker Alpinist 8 from Ski West

The ultra-light Alpinist 8 pin binding is optimized for lighter ski tourers. A unique and softer heel spring supports easy entry and lowers the DIN range to 3-8. Besides that the Alpinist 8 is identical to the 9 and 12 models. It also offers active length compensation during ski flex and an impressive power transfer downhill due to a 38 mm drill pattern. The carbon-reinforced toe provides great stiffness and comes with anti-ice pads and integrated elastomers for easy stepping in. The heel features a climbing aid with 0°, 5° and 9° angle and allows super convenient switching between hike and ride mode. Very practical: Alpinist allows a +/- 7,5 mm heel adjustment to suit various sole/boot lengths!

Key Features

ISI (Intuitive Step In) Toe Piece: Carbon-reinforced toe featuring integrated boot stops and optimized lever kinematics for fast, effortless step-in.

Active Length Compensation: Integrated heel flex allowance expands up to 4mm to maintain consistent release values and smooth ski flex when compressed under heavy loads.

38mm Wide Hole Pattern: Extra-wide mounting footprint delivers maximum leverage and direct power transmission to the ski edges.

Climbing Aids with Fast Shift Mode: Features 0°, 5°, and 9° riser positions accessible with ski poles, allowing fast transitions between neutral and maximum rise.

Anti-Ice Pads & Elastomers: Built-in pads at the base of the toe prevent snow and ice buildup in critical engagement zones.

15mm Heel Adjustment Range: Offers +/- 7.5mm of track movement to accommodate various boot sole lengths without remounting.

Ultra-Lightweight Brakeless Design: Streamlined 270g build eliminates drag and excess weight for maximum ascent efficiency (crampon and optional brake compatible).
