About This Product

Why you'll love the Line Sakana 2027 from Ski West

The Sakena pairs a 105mm waist with a deeply set-back stance and directional flex pattern, putting it firmly in Line's Progressive Shapes lineup alongside other float-first designs. That setback stance moves your feet well back of centre, letting the tip stay up and the tail sink for a surfy, pivoting feel in deep snow — a natural match for a proper storm cycle at Whitewater, where dry, wind-protected powder stacks up deep.

The Paulownia-maple core with carbon flax reinforcement keeps the ski light in the air and on the skin track, while sidewall construction adds durability without the extra heft of a full metal-laminate build.

Features

Paulownia-Maple Core with Carbon Flax Tape: This lightweight wood blend keeps swing weight low for effortless pivoting in tight trees, while the carbon flax reinforcement adds torsional stability so the ski doesn't feel washy when driving through denser, settled snow lower in a run.

Directional Flex with Tip-Only Early Rise: Rise is concentrated at the tip rather than symmetrically front and back, keeping the nose planing high in fresh snow while the flatter tail maintains contact and control — the defining trait of a purpose-built powder shape rather than an all-mountain crossover.

Sidewall Construction: Traditional sidewall (rather than capped) construction improves edge hold on the firmer, transitional snow you'll hit lower on the mountain or on the skin-track approach, without adding unnecessary weight.
